Spoilers. >!Honestly, after everything that has gone down thus far, I am so disgusted by how it seems they have just given up for the final season. They are painting Daenerys as a joke; setting her up to be another mad ruler. Everything feels rushed and squished in. Season 8 should have set up and focused on the war against the white walkers So, I'm going to be ranking each season and noting what my favourite episode in each one is, and would be happy to see the opinions of others in the comments 8 - Season 8 (Favourite Episode: E2 - A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) 7 - Season 5 (Favourite Episode: E8 - Hardhome) 6 - Season 7 (Favourite Episode: E4 - The Spoils of War) Official Rewatch. [Season 8 Spoiler in Text] Question about Westeros monarch's title after the end of the show. Question asked of me by an 11 year old that I can't find a good answer to. I'm not sure if show spoilers are restricted or not so I tagged it as one.
The forces of Westeros gather at Winterfell to begin preparations for the great battle about to occur. Ep10: A Song of Ice and Fire (123min) The Long Night, and the aftermath. This episode is feature film length. An early plan for the finale of game of thrones that HBO had was to make it a movie, so this choice was based on that idea.

Kevan and Littlefinger have a well written conversation about the state of affairs in Westeros. They enter the tower of the hand together and find a dead Pycelle with a bolt in his chest. Varys enters the room behind them with a crossbow. He shoots Kevan, then Littlefinger as he tries to escape.

The first 5 seasons were ridiculously good. GoT was part of TV shows being better than movies. Season 8 destroyed all that credibility to the point that most original fans will not even bother restarting the series. Hype doesn't have to ruin a TV series' ending. Breaking Bad and The Wire are great examples of this. 3KiNh.
