If your mastery experience for the first level of legendary crafting and fractal attunement are filled but you do not have the mastery points to spend for them, further experience will go to the lowest unlocked Central Tyria mastery that is available (i.e., pact commander). Around 8k hours, 193 mastery. Using other players playtime probably isn't a good metric. I have a shameful amount of hours in this game, but to reach maximum isn't overly difficult. However, you would need to do at least 1 raid boss. Crafting your first legendary is more about how much dedication you have as a player. Sounds like you're missing the raid masteries, which are in the Heart of Thorns mastery list once you unlock them. You can unlock these by doing any single Heart of Thorns raid boss (wing 1, 2, 3 or 4) Easiest wings for this imo would be wing 4 (cairn, first boss) or wing 1 (vale guardian, also first boss)You can find a training group through 1st you need to be lvl 80. 2nd you need to either go to a Master Point Insight in the open world or do an achievement that rewards you with a Mastery Point. 10. Yes I did the CoF farm for Tyria masteries. Adventures, Personal Story, and Dragon Stand were my main sources of mastery points at the end. Dragon's Stand has a large amount of easy to get Mastery Points, you just have to get on to a good map. I doubt I am the first person to reach 161, but I thought it would be cool to share it. Well all mastery points are listed in your achievement with a special red icon (with the exception of the Koutalophile collection that you first need to unlock), so you can just browse through them and go for the ones that are easiest for you. 17 points are locked behind Living World Season 2, so consider getting that to make it easier. b0MlpH.
